all ready

I'm sure you are all sick of looking at stuff for the craft fair, so here's some lovely lovely buttons instead.

At last everything is ready for tomorrow. Tagged, priced, labelled, ironed, packaged and tucked up into four large plastic crates.

It's my first craft market so I've no idea what to expect... my lovely friend Julia is coming to help me, so at the very least we will have a giggle and drink lots of tea. Hopefully I'll sell something...

And now I feel the urge to go and paint my short, stubby, needle-pricked and ink-ravaged fingernails dark purple.

Keep everything crossed for me.

Go on - paint them purple.

I am keeping everything crossed for you - and hoping that the right people with purses full of Christmas money come your way.

Oh Sue - this is extraordinary! I came over to you from Welsh Hills Again, partly because you mentioned Manchester, where I am near (I'm in the Peaks, but my husband works in the city). Now, having never got to Quarry Bank Mill in the 5 years I've lived up here (my children have with school), I found myself there on Sunday - enjoying THE CRAFT FAIR!!! But, now, the tragedy is, SOMEHOW I managed to miss your stall. I can't quite think how as I love the things you've photographed on your previous post. Possibly I put it down to the fact I was there with a friend and 5 children - always distracting (I prefer to shop ALONE!) and I kept being yanked off to the Lucky Dips...
So how did it go (no thanks to me!!)? Do so hope it was a success. Let me know where you are going to be next time and I'll try and come and say hello (and buy something!). To think we were in the same room together, but didn't know...!
xx

So HOTH, it's your fault that my takings were lower than hoped for? How could you miss me??? I was smack bang in the middle of the room, a little haven of tastefulness in a sea of mediocrity (well actually Sylvia the singing potter was good but that was about all). Come to the Whitworth on December 14th!
