a little update
Recently a lot of my creative activity has been under the water and unseen, like the paddling of a swan. All I have to show at the moment is more crochet... this time some organic cotton facecloths which are to be a gift for a friend we're visiting next week in Denmark. This seems to be a very crochet-orientated space just now... hopefully there will be something different to show soon. I'm working on ideas and designs for some Christmas craft fairs, doing some journal writing and keeping up with my Listography most days. Life is too intense and demanding for anything else at the moment, but I have some exhibitions and galleries lined up as well as next week's little trip to Copenhagen, which I am looking forward to immensely. Denmark is such a peaceful, creative place and everything is lovely colours.

Dear Sue, you shouldn't feel obliged to show something new in every post! After all life is going on (running, flying - it depends on circumstances) and we just try to follow its rhythm - different for each one of us. As Joe Dassin sang - "Ma vie continue/je vais comme elle vient...". Oh, how lucky you are to go to Denmark! I've fallen in love with this country, my husband, too and we dream to visit it again... The gift you are preparing for your friend is in such soft and calming colours! Have a nice trip!!
Sue, I am envying you that upcoming visit to Copenhagen.
Wish that you have been in NY today to go with a fellow artist friend and me to see the current Matisse show at MOMA. It shows his work during an in-between stage of his life ... back from Morocco, not yet in Nice.
Let me also thank you for my seeing the comment from rossichka ... I remembered her fabulous talents and have left her a message. Wish I could remember more of my long ago language classes.

Hi Sue, I read you with pleasure and find you are often writing about things very close to my own life & thoughts. Lately I have been thinking and looking for swans, water, and the deep quiet we all need in life - at least now and then.
If you are looking for this, then you will find it.
Don't appologise for focusing on crochet. I'm new to the hook ...and am hooked. I love the muted colours of those face cloths. What a gorgeous gift for your friend - so thoughtful.
Love those soft colours I am sure your friend will love them. As others have said life happens and all we can do is go with the flow so we look forward to seeing you as and when you can find time between all the other "things" going on in your life.

The cloths are such beautiful gentle colours. Have a lovely time in Copenhagan.
thanks for sharing your Lists - a great idea for 'touchstones' - I try and do this sometimes but not as consistent as you, often beat myself up for not doing enough, the lists are a good reminder of what matters and how much has been done! Hmm... Cx
Copenhagen - how lovely. You're right about the colours there; very soothing. I went in the winter, and walked so much I came home with shinsplints. I hope you have a wonderful time.
I really am enjoying seeing your crochet and its subtle, soft colours.
Copenhagen? What a trreat that will be.
Copenhagen is beautiful, and the Tivoli great fun! You have a marvellous time - I know for a fact that you deserve it!
Never heard of crochet face cloths - what a good idea. I never got beyond knitted dishcloths!!
I wanted to leave a comment on listography about the swearing and laughing being on the same day as our meeting. I enjoyed that too.
I went to Copenhagen once when I was pregnant with second son. We couldn't afford a meal in the hotel we were in! It was so expensive. We ate every night in Nyhaven at a place called entrecote...you had to like steak but it was so good.Enjoy it an dthink of me in the Hebrides!
the introduction to listography has saved my bacon....thank you sooooo very much indeed......
Hey Sue, have a wonderful trip, safe travelling. Love the soft muted tones of the face cloths, lovely gift for your hosts.
